Product Overview
TDMK Synchronous Motor

The TDMK series is a large-sized 3-phase AC synchronous motor specifically designed for driving heavy-duty mills in the mining industry, including grate ball mills, rod mills, and coal mills. These motors are suitable for indoor environments with altitudes up to 1,000m and ambient temperatures up to 40ºC. The design minimizes sensitivity to dust, vapour, and corrosive gases.

Key Structural Features:
  • Frame: Robust construction welded by steel plates with a bottom leading-out terminal.
  • Stator: Low-loss silicon steel plates with VPI (Vacuum Pressure Impregnation) insulation for moisture proofing.
  • Rotor: Magnetic poles made of stamped steel plates with Class B or F insulation.
  • Bearings: Ring-oiled or combined bearings with insulating padding plates to prevent shaft current.

The motor allows for direct starting at full voltage. If the power grid capacity is limited, reduced voltage starting is also supported. The stator features six leads (U1, V1, W1, U2, V2, W2) for flexible connection, typically via high-voltage cable or a customized junction box.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: What are the primary applications for the TDMK series motors?
These motors are primarily used to drive large-scale mills in mining operations, such as grate ball mills, rod mills, and coal mills.
Q2: What is the benefit of the 0.9 leading power factor?
The leading power factor provides a compensation effect on the power grid, helping to improve the overall electrical efficiency of the facility.
Q3: Can the motor operate in high-altitude environments?
The standard design is for altitudes up to 1,000m, but motors can be customized for high-altitude or damp heat environments upon request.
Q4: What starting methods are supported?
They can be started directly at full voltage. If grid capacity is an issue, reduced voltage starting is also possible, with torque decreasing in proportion to the square of terminal voltage.
Q5: What is the insulation performance of the TDMK series?
The motors use Class F insulation with VPI processing and double-layer short-pitched coils, offering excellent mechanical strength and moisture resistance.
Q6: What cooling methods are available?
The standard cooling method is IC01 (open type), but other forms like duct ventilation or air-to-air cooling can be produced based on customer needs.
