Yd-225m-6 Variable Speed Three-Phase Asynchronous Motor

Product Description

We specialize in high-quality energy-efficient electric motors. The combination of the best available materials, high-quality sheet metal, and the right amount of copper in the rotor/stator makes our electric motors highly energy-efficient.

We design our electric motors to fit and match our customer's requirements. The electric motors can be supplemented with a range of options and accessories or modified with a special design to endure any environment.

Variable Speed Three-Phase Asynchronous Motor
Three-Phase Asynchronous Motor Detail

Electric motors account for a large part of the electricity used globally, contributing to about 65 percent of the electricity used in industry. To reduce consumption, legal requirements exist regarding the efficiency of electric motors manufactured or exported into the EU.

Three-phase, single-speed asynchronous motors are the most common type, accounting for 90 percent of electricity consumption in the 0.75 - 375 kW range. According to standards, energy efficiency classes are designated as IE1, IE2, IE3, and IE4, with IE4 being the highest efficiency.

Revision of the Standard

A revision of the standard was published on October 1, 2019, with the following implementation phases:

For Electric Motors

From July 1, 2021

  • 2-, 4-, 6- and 8-pole motors from 0.75 - 1000 kW are included in efficiency class IE3.
  • Motors within the range 0.12 - 0.75 kW must meet efficiency class IE2.
  • The option to replace IE3 motors with IE2 motors using frequency drives has been removed.

From July 1, 2023

  • For 2-, 4-, 6- and 8-pole motors (0.12 - 1000 kW), IE2 now applies to Ex eb certified motors.
  • Single phase motors > 0.12 kW are covered by the IE2 class.
  • Higher efficiency class IE4 applies to 2, 4 and 6-pole motors between 75 - 200 kW.

For Frequency Inverters

From July 1, 2021

For use with motors from 0.12 - 1000 kW, frequency inverters must pass efficiency class IE2 specially designed for inverters.

Current Directive Requirements

Since June 16, 2011, motors below IE2 efficiency are prohibited in the EU market. Since January 1, 2017, all motors from 0.75 - 375 kW (2-, 4-, and 6-pole) must meet IE3 requirements, or IE2 if combined with frequency inverters.

Exemptions from the Directive

  • Operation other than S1 (continuous) or S3 (intermittent) with a cyclicity factor ≤ 80%.
  • Integral motors designed for assembly with frequency inverters.
  • Motors made for use in liquid or fully integrated into products (pumps, fans, etc.).
  • Brake motors.
  • Extreme environments: Altitudes > 4,000m, ambient air > 60°C, or operating temp > 400°C.
  • Ambient temperatures < -30°C (all motors) or < 0°C (water-cooled).
  • Explosive atmospheres.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1. What are IE efficiency classes for electric motors?
IE stands for International Efficiency. The classes range from IE1 (Standard Efficiency) to IE4 (Super Premium Efficiency). Higher numbers indicate better energy efficiency and lower electricity consumption.
2. Which motors are currently required to meet IE3 standards in the EU?
As of July 1, 2021, 2-, 4-, 6-, and 8-pole motors ranging from 0.75 kW to 1000 kW are required to meet the IE3 efficiency class.
3. Can you provide customized motor designs?
Yes, we have a dedicated design and development team that can customize single-phase and three-phase motors to meet specific environmental conditions or mechanical requirements.
4. Are there any motors exempted from the efficiency directives?
Exemptions include motors designed for explosive atmospheres, brake motors, motors used in extreme temperatures (above 60°C or below -30°C), and motors fully integrated into other products like pumps or fans.
5. What is the typical lead time and warranty for your motors?
General delivery times range from 15 to 30 days. We offer a comprehensive guarantee of 18 to 24 months on our motor products.
6. What international standards do your motors comply with?
We manufacture motors following multiple standards, including European IE classes, American NEMA standards, Russian GOST ANP, and Taiwan type AEEF standards.
